1) Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our site, requesting a quote, placing a booking, or communicating with NCRVR (web, phone, WhatsApp, SMS), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”). We may update these T&Cs; the current version is posted here.
2) Driver Eligibility
- Minimum age: 25+ (or as required by applicable insurance).
- License: Valid, unexpired driver’s license (U.S. or acceptable international equivalent).
- Additional drivers: Must be listed and approved before pickup.
NCRVR may refuse or cancel bookings that do not meet identity, payment, or insurance requirements.
3) Booking, Payments & Security Deposits
- Booking retainer: 50% of the rental total is due at booking to hold your dates.
- Balance: Due before vehicle hand-off (as shown in your confirmation).
- Security deposit: $500 authorization/hold prior to pickup; released after return inspection less any applicable charges.
- Payment methods: As accepted by our processor and/or as stated on your confirmation.
4) Cancellations & No-Show
- ≥ 15 days before pickup: a 25% cancellation fee (of total rental) applies. Any amounts paid above that are refunded (net of non-refundable processor fees, if any).
- < 15 days before pickup: the 50% booking retainer is non-refundable.
- No-Show: no refund of any deposit. Any amounts you have paid — including the 50% booking retainer and any security deposit that has been captured or pre-authorized — are non-refundable and may be applied to administrative, scheduling, and lost-rental charges.
- Invalid documents/license at pickup: treated as a No-Show.
Note: The “security deposit” may be captured prior to pickup. In a No-Show scenario, it is not refunded and may be applied to incurred costs associated with the lost booking.
5) Pickup, Return & Late Fees
Pickup/Return location: Escondido, CA (final street address provided on your confirmation).
Late return: $25/hour + tax. From 4 hours late, a full extra rental day is charged (plus any downstream costs from the delay).
A joint condition inspection (photos/checklist) is performed at pickup and return.
6) Mileage, Fuel & Propane
- Included mileage: 75 miles per rental day.
- Extra miles: $0.35/mile.
- Fuel/propane: Return at the same level as pickup or refueling charges + service apply.
7) Cleaning & Tanks
- Post-return cleaning & sanitization: $180 + tax (billed with the rental).
- Dump fee (waste tanks): $60 if not returned emptied.
- Excessive dirt, spills, or odors may incur additional cleaning at cost.
8) Pets & Smoke/Vape
- Pets: Not allowed. If NCRVR approves an exception in writing, a $500 additional pet security deposit applies and extra cleaning may be charged.
- No smoking or vaping inside the vehicle. Violations are subject to deodorization/cleaning charges (and potential downtime) at cost.
9) Use of the Vehicle
Recreational/personal use on appropriate roads and conditions only.
Prohibited: reckless driving, racing, overloading, unauthorized towing, commercial use, illegal transport, sub-rental, tampering with safety or monitoring devices.
Festivals/desert/off-grid: only in units NCRVR authorizes for that purpose and with proper add-ons (e.g., generator/solar). Additional deposits/fees may apply.
10) Damages, Fines & Tolls
You are responsible for accidents, damage, losses, fines, tolls, citations, and cleaning during your rental. We charge the verified repair cost (or insurance deductible, as applicable) and, when applicable, reasonable downtime.
11) Insurance & Roadside Assistance
You must meet insurance requirements stated in your confirmation, or purchase/accept available coverage options (from NCRVR or third parties). Roadside assistance coverage and limits are set out in your confirmation. Negligence or misuse can void coverage.
12) Maintenance & Incident Reporting
Immediately report warning lights, mechanical issues, incidents, or accidents. Do not continue driving if it could worsen damage or risk safety—this may impact coverage.
13) Changes to a Booking
Date changes, driver changes, destination or use changes (e.g., festival/off-grid) require NCRVR pre-approval and may affect pricing or availability.
14) Electronic Communications (SMS/A2P)
By providing your phone and submitting a form or contacting us via WhatsApp or phone, you authorize NCRVR to send SMS/MMS regarding quotes, confirmations, reminders, and support.

Carrier rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase (you can book by phone or email).
15) Site Content & IP
Site content (text, images, marks) is owned by NCRVR or licensors and may not be used without permission.
16) Liability Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NCRVR is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the rental charges you paid for the booking in dispute.
17) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold NCRVR harmless from claims, damages, penalties, and costs arising from your breach of these T&Cs or misuse of the vehicle.
18) Dispute Resolution — Binding Arbitration (AAA)
Informal resolution first. Before any formal action, the parties agree to attempt informal resolution by written notice and 30 days to negotiate.
Arbitration. Failing informal resolution, any dispute, claim, or controversy will be resolved exclusively by review of the condition inspection (departure/return photos) and by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, applying California law.
Venue & language. San Diego County, California; English; single arbitrator. The award is final and may be entered as a judgment.
Small Claims carve-out. Either party may bring individual claims in San Diego County Small Claims Court.
Class action waiver. Individual arbitration only—no class, collective, or representative proceedings.
Fees. AAA filing/administrative fees per Consumer Rules; where required by law, NCRVR will pay additional arbitration fees.
30-day Opt-out (consumer). You may opt out by emailing abraham@northcountyrvrentals.com within 30 days of first accepting these T&Cs, stating your name, phone, and that you opt out of arbitration.

20) Rental Agreement Controls
These T&Cs complement your specific Rental Agreement. If they conflict, the signed Rental Agreement at pickup controls.
